InfinitiBit GmbH Munich, how we collect, use, and protect your data on this website.

General Information

The following provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is all information that can be used to personally identify you.

Data Collection on This Website

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator, InfinitiBit GmbH. Your data is collected in two ways: data you provide directly (e.g. via a contact form), and data collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the site — primarily technical data such as browser, operating system, or time of visit.

What We Use Your Data For

Some data is collected to ensure the error-free provision of the website. Other data may be used to analyze user behavior.

Your Rights

You have the right at any time to obtain free information about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data, and to request correction, deletion, or restriction of processing. If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

Storage Duration

Unless a more specific storage period is specified elsewhere in this policy, your personal data remains with us until the purpose of processing no longer applies, subject to legally permissible reasons for retention (e.g. tax or commercial law).

Legal Basis for Processing

Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), contract fulfillment (Art. 6(1)(b)), a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)), or our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). Where cookies or device access require consent under §25(1) TTDSG, that consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Recipients of Personal Data

We only pass personal data to external parties where required for contract fulfillment, a legal obligation, our legitimate interest, or another legal basis. Processors are engaged only under a valid data processing agreement.

Right of Objection (Art. 21 GDPR)

Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, you may object at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation, including profiling. For direct marketing, you may object at any time and we will stop such processing.

Right to Lodge a Complaint

In the event of GDPR violations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged violation.

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to receive data we process on the basis of consent or contract in a common, machine-readable format, and to have it transferred directly to another controller where technically feasible.

Right to Restrict Processing

You may request restriction of processing while we verify disputed accuracy, instead of deletion where processing was unlawful, where you need the data for legal claims, or pending the outcome of an objection under Art. 21(1) GDPR.

SSL / TLS Encryption

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognize an encrypted connection by "https://" and the padlock icon in your browser.

Objection to Advertising Emails

The use of contact data published under our legal notice for sending unsolicited advertising is expressly objected to. We reserve the right to take legal action against unsolicited advertising, such as spam emails.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies — small data packets stored temporarily (session) or permanently on your device. First-party and third-party cookies may be used for technical necessity, functionality, or analytics/advertising, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or, where consent is required, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and §25(1) TTDSG. You can control cookies via your browser settings.

Contact Form

If you submit an inquiry via our contact form, the details you provide (including contact information) are stored to process your inquiry and for any follow-up. We do not share this data without your consent. Data is retained until you request deletion, withdraw consent, or the purpose no longer applies.

Inquiries by Email, Telephone, or Fax

If you contact us by email, phone, or fax, your inquiry and resulting personal data are stored and processed to handle your request. We do not share this data without your consent, and it is retained until deletion is requested or the purpose no longer applies.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to analyze site usage via cookies. Data is typically transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or, where consent is required, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. User- and event-level data linked to identifiers is anonymized or deleted after 14 months. You can opt out via the Google Analytics browser add-on or an opt-out cookie, and demographic reporting features can be disabled in your Google account settings.

Google Ads & Conversion Tracking

We use Google Ads, including conversion tracking and remarketing cookies (expiring after 30 days), to measure ad performance and re-target visitors with relevant ads on third-party sites. Cookies cannot be tracked across different advertisers' sites. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; you can disable cookies via your browser or block the "googleadservices.com" domain.

Google DoubleClick

DoubleClick (Google LLC) is used to display interest-based advertising across the Google network via a pseudonymous user profile built from a browser cookie, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or consent where required.

Google Ads Remarketing

Google Ads Remarketing re-targets site visitors with ads based on pages visited, device/browser data, and ad interaction data, with data potentially transferred to Google servers in the USA. Processing is generally based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); you can manage this via Google Ads Settings or browser cookie controls.

Facebook Analytics & Facebook Pixel

We use Facebook's tracking pixel (Facebook Ireland Limited) to analyze user behavior via a cookie; the data we receive is anonymized. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, and can be limited via your Facebook settings or browser cookie controls.

LinkedIn Insight Tag

The LinkedIn Insight Tag collects IP address, device/browser properties, and page events via a cookie; data is encrypted, anonymized within 7 days, and deleted within 90 days. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, and can be disabled via LinkedIn account settings.

Business Profiles in Professional Networks

We maintain company profiles on LinkedIn (Unlimited Company, Dublin) and XING (XING SE, Hamburg) for information, PR, and active sourcing, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Any activity you take on these profiles (comments, likes, posts) may make personal data public.

YouTube

We embed YouTube videos (Google/YouTube LLC). Visiting a page with an embed connects your browser to YouTube's servers, which may store activity and device/browser data, including transfers to the USA. Processing is generally based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address (and verification data) solely to send the requested information, based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each newsletter; your address may be retained on a blacklist afterward solely to prevent future mailings.

Google Fonts

This site loads Google Fonts for consistent typography. Your browser connects to Google's servers to load the fonts, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or consent where required under §25(1) TTDSG. If unsupported, a standard system font is used instead.

Google Maps

This site uses Google Maps, which requires storing your IP address, transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or consent where required, using the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for the transfer.

Friendly Captcha

We use Friendly Captcha (Friendly Captcha GmbH, Woerthsee, Germany) to verify that form submissions are made by a human, analyzing visitor behavior signals such as anonymized IP address and referrer. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or consent where required.
